Hello,

The Mobile Web Test Suites Working Group [1] has just released a new
stable version of the « Web Compatibility Test for Mobile Browsers »:

http://www.w3.org/2008/06/mobile-test/

The Working Group had published a first version of this back in April:

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-mobile/2008Apr/0000.html

In the same spirit as the ACID tests, it combines in a single page tests
for several Web technologies; there are now 16 (up from 12 in the
previous version) of these technologies tested (ranging from
well-deployed to bleeding edge), and some of the tests that already
existed in the previous version have also been improved or corrected
based on the feedback received.

You can learn more about the new version in the blog post at:

http://www.w3.org/blog/MWITeam/2008/07/30/new_release_of_web_compatibility_test_fo

and get more details on the test itself in its accompanying
documentation at:

http://www.w3.org/2008/06/mobile-test/doc.html

Thanks,

Dominique Hazael-Massieux, co-Chair of the Mobile Web Test Suites
Working Group
